Cupping
Cupping is an ancient therapy that uses gentle suction to release tension, improve circulation, and support the body’s natural detoxification processes. It helps ease muscle tightness, reduce energetic stagnation, and can assist with a variety of issues including muscle soreness, cellulite, menstrual cramps, colds, flu, and respiratory conditions like asthma, bronchitis, and emphysema.
Gua Sha
Gua sha is a traditional healing technique that uses smooth, gentle strokes to stimulate circulation, release tension, and move stagnation beneath the skin’s surface. It’s indicated for easing muscle pain and tightness, improving circulation, reducing inflammation, supporting respiratory health, and regulating both the nervous system and emotions.
Manual therapies are incorporated into treatments, as indicated.

Artemisia vulgaris (mugwort) has been used in East Asian medicine for thousands of years as a therapeutic heat modality. When refined and burned near the skin, it becomes moxibustion, a technique used to provide targeted warmth to acupuncture points and affected areas of the body. In integrative and oncology settings, moxibustion is used to support circulation, ease discomfort, and improve overall well-being as part of a comprehensive care plan.
Research suggests that the gentle heat from moxibustion may help promote microcirculation, modulate inflammatory processes, and influence neurovascular pathways involved in pain perception. It is sometimes used to support patients experiencing symptoms such as pain, digestive changes, neuropathy, fatigue, or cold sensitivity, and can be used alone or combined with acupuncture to enhance therapeutic benefit.
Moxibustion is incorporated into other treatments, as indicated.

Ear Seeds
Ear seeds are a gentle, non-invasive therapy based on auriculotherapy, which views the ear as a microsystem that reflects the entire body. Small seeds—traditionally from the Vaccaria plant or made from gold, silver, or stainless steel—are placed on specific points of the ear to provide continuous, light stimulation. By activating these points, ear seeds can influence the nervous system, support emotional balance, and encourage the body’s natural healing responses.
Ear seeds are commonly used to support stress relief, anxiety, insomnia, pain, digestion, hormonal balance, and cravings, as well as overall regulation of the autonomic nervous system. Because they remain in place for several days, they extend the effects of an in-office acupuncture session and empower patients with a tool they can gently press to reinforce calming or therapeutic effects between visits.
