Cancer Supportive Care
Treatment is designed to protect what is working well, soothe what feels inflamed or overwhelmed, and support better balance where systems have fallen out of rhythm.
I am certified in Oncology Acupuncture through Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK), where my training focused on providing safe, compassionate, evidence-informed care alongside conventional cancer treatment.
If you or someone you love is navigating cancer treatment, recovery, or advanced illness, acupuncture can offer additional support during a deeply demanding time. Integrative care is not a replacement for disease-directed therapy. Rather, it is meant to ease side effects, reduce symptom burden, and support comfort and quality of life — whether during active treatment, in survivorship, or in more advanced stages of care.
For those living with advanced disease, the focus gently shifts toward comfort. Care becomes centered on the present moment — easing pain, calming the nervous system, supporting rest, and helping patients feel steadier and supported.
Cancers Supported
Supportive care is appropriate across many cancer types, including:
Breast cancer
Lung cancer
Prostate cancer
Gynecologic cancers
Colorectal cancer
Hematologic cancers (lymphoma, leukemia, myeloma)
Patients undergoing stem cell transplant
Care is provided during chemotherapy, radiation therapy, hormonal therapy (including aromatase inhibitors and androgen deprivation therapy), immunotherapy, post-surgical recovery, and advanced illness care when appropriate.
Symptoms Supported
Based on oncology integrative care guidelines and clinical research, acupuncture may support patients experiencing:
Pain
Cancer-related pain
Aromatase inhibitor–associated arthralgia
Neuropathic pain
Post-surgical pain

Safety & Collaboration
Oncology acupuncture requires careful medical screening. Treatment is guided by:
Review of laboratory values (including ANC and platelets)
Awareness of ports, PICC lines, radiation fields, and surgical sites
Coordination with oncology teams when appropriate
Infection control and isolation precautions when required
Care is delivered with close attention to safety parameters established in hospital-based oncology practice.
Integrative, Collaborative Approach
Supportive care focuses on:
Symptom relief
Comfort and dignity
Emotional steadiness
Improved functional status when possible
Enhanced quality of life
Complementing standard oncologic and palliative care
If you are undergoing cancer treatment, living in survivorship, or facing advanced illness and seeking additional support, I am here to collaborate with you and, when appropriate, your oncology or palliative care team.
